chicago artist jason salavon creates artwork that examines commonality and averages in images. one of his latest project is a page by page reproduction of the 2007 ikea catalogue simplified to its layout and colour. the work is made by dividing each spread into its core blocks of text or image and filling each block with its average colour. the result is titled ‘field guide to style and colour’.
